What are we?

Women in Engineering @ Swinburne

WIE@SWIN is a network with a mission to attract, support and

celebrate women in Engineering and foster an environment of

gender equity for both students and academics.

What can we do?

● Organise networking events with industry partners to explore

the diverse and rewarding engineering career pathways and

increase career opportunities.

● Profile successful and inspirational female engineers and

celebrate their achievements.

● Conduct workshops for confidence building, career guidance

and negotiation skills

● Raise awareness about the challenges women in engineering

face at university and in industry.

● Organise social events to facilitate communication between

members and promote peer and professional mentoring.

● Promote engineering as a career for females in high, middle

and primary schools through a number of innovative outreach

programs.
